National Youth Brass Band: Ka mua, ka muri

The National Youth Brass Band brings together New Zealand’s most talented young brass and percussion musicians every year to develop youth talent and ability; inspire youth passion for music and grow the overall brass banding movement for years to come. This will be an incredible opportunity to see 37 of NZ’s young musicians (all under 23-years) in concert.
Under the baton of Musical Director, Alan Spence from Whakatane, the band will perform an entertaining programme of fresh and contemporary music. The band will be joined by guest artist Tyme Marsters who will entertain with solos on cornet, trumpet and flugelhorn.
In performance, the band’s enthusiasm is infectious, making their performance of classical, jazz, New Zealand and contemporary music an inspiring experience.

Come along and be treated to a fantastic evening of music performed by the 2021 National Youth Brass Band at the Gallagher Performing Arts Centre.
